DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 453,000 homes in Donetsk, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of the week

From April 6 to 12, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators (DSO) were able to completely or partially restore power to 400 settlements, de-energized due to the enemy strikes, thus restoring electricity to the homes of more than 453,000 families in Donetsk, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution Systems Operators repair the grids immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

The majority – in the Donetsk region, where heavy fighting is still ongoing. Despite an extremely difficult security situation, energy workers here managed to restore power to 178,200* homes over the past seven days.

The next in line with regard to the number of restorations is the Odesa region, which the enemy constantly attacks too. From April 6 to 12, energy workers here managed to restore power to 161,000 homes of local residents.

Last week, specialists in the Dnipropetrovsk region, in their turn, managed to restore electricity to 114,600 homes of the region’s residents that were de-energized due to the enemy strikes.

“Enemy attacks on the energy system do not subside. Nevertheless, we continue to work and restore electricity. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 42.5 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity in some settlements close to the combat zone on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
