DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to more than 807,000 homes in four regions over the course of the week
The largest volume of restorations are in the Donetsk region, which remains an area of active hostilities. Despite an extremely difficult security situation, energy workers managed to restore power to more than 449,000* homes of the region’s residents over the course of the week.
During this period, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region restored power to almost 190,000 families. Regular attacks on the region cause constant damage to the grids and power outages for the residents.
From March 16 to 22, specialists in the Kyiv region restored electricity to 152,000 homes that were de-energized due to the attacks.
In the Odesa region, which energy system also remains under constant attacks, power was restored to more than 16,000 families over the course of the week.
“The enemy attacks our country’s energy system almost non-stop. Nevertheless, we continue to work and restore electricity for as long as 1,489 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored power supply to more than 41.2 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We had to restore power supply in some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids DSO energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
