DTEK Grids DSO restored power to almost 63,000 homes in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions over the course of the week
The majority of last week’s restorations were in the Donetsk region, which remains the area of the most active hostilities. Despite an extremely difficult situation, our specialists continue to repair the grids once it becomes possible and the military provides permission for work performance. From September 8 to 14, they managed to restore power to homes of 40,500 local residents.
Over the same period of time, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region restored electricity to 21,100 local residents. The Kyiv region continues to suffer from enemy attacks too. Last week, energy workers here restored power to 1,100 families, whose homes were de-energized by enemy attacks.
“Despite constant enemy attacks and security challenges, our specialists continue to hold the energy front for as long as 1,300 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 21.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. We have restored electricity to some settlements close to the area of hostilities on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
