Over the course of the week, DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to 68,500 homes, de-energized by attacks, in three regions and in the city of Kyiv
The enemy intensified attacks on Ukrainian towns and villages that affect energy infrastructure. Energy workers continue to work on restorations despite the danger. In particular, despite an extremely difficult situation in the Donetsk region, specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 46,800 local residents. Energy workers continue to repair the grids in the Donetsk region despite constant danger of active hostilities in the region.
From June 16 to 22, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region were able to restore power supply to 19,700 homes. Due to the approaching frontline, the enemy shells Dnipropetrovsk region more and more often, thus regularly damaging grids and leaving residents of the region without electricity.
Enemy attacks on Kyiv became more frequent, causing destruction of power facilities, among other things. Last week, energy workers restored electricity to more than a thousand homes of local residents.
Meanwhile, Odesa region continues to suffer from enemy attacks, too. Last week, energy workers here restored power to almost 773 families, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.
“Despite enemy attacks, which became more frequent, and serious security challenges, energy workers continue to hold the energy front for 1,217 days now. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already restored electricity to more than 19.4 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
Energy workers of DTEK Grids are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
