DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to more than 166,000 families in May

Despite active hostilities in the region that were ongoing in May, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 251 settlements* last month, thus restoring electricity to more than 166,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Since February 24 last year, energy workers restored electricity to a running total of 7.6 mln families.

The enemy continued shelling the Donetsk region and launching missile and air strikes In May. The energy infrastructure suffered damage on a daily basis. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 166,698 families in 251 settlements.

In particular, last week alone specialists of the energy company have restored electricity to 41,500 families in 83 settlements of the Donetsk region.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult. Shelling constantly damages the energy system of the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
