Over the three months of 2025, DTEK Odesa Grids sent more than 2 tons of waste for recycling
Since the beginning of 2025, the company sent 2.3 tons of various industrial waste for recycling. In particular, porcelain and glass insulators, electrical equipment and appliances, plastic containers and packaging, etc.
“Despite the war, the company continues to implement principles of circular economy, in the part of responsible waste management in particular. We collect it separately, store it in accordance with legal requirements and send it for recycling and reuse. Over the course of three years, we managed to send almost 130 tons of industrial waste for recycling. For example, we used 465 tons of reinforced concrete poles to set up shielded premises for safe waste storage at our sites,” — told Yuliia Lukasevych, environmentalist at DTEK Odesa Grids.
The company has now built 45 shielded premises for temporary storage of waste and installed 325 marked containers for collection and separation of secondary raw materials. Everything is arranged so as to prevent negative impact on the environment and send waste for recycling and reuse as much as possible.
DTEK Odesa Grids also supports public environmental initiatives, a “Precious Plastic” project in particular. In 2024, company’s participation helped collect and send for recycling over 150 kg of plastic to be later used for fabrication of benches, chairs, accessories, etc.
