DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to almost 540,000 families in September

Despite active hostilities that continue in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to conduct a number of repairs and restore power to residents of 464 settlements* in September, thus restoring electricity to almost 540,000 families in the Donetsk region. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance. Since February 24, 2022, energy workers restored electricity to a running total of 8.7 mln families.

Hostilities were ongoing in the Donetsk region in September. Shelling, missile and air strikes continued. The energy infrastructure suffered damage on a daily basis. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 538,871 families in 464 settlements last month. 

In particular, last week alone, specialists of the energy company restored electricity to almost 30,000 families in 54 settlements of the Donetsk region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. According to the National Police, the enemy launched 2,774 strikes on the frontline and residential area yesterday. 17 settlements of the region were under fire.  

Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 951 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
