In September, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power supply to more than 164,000 homes after shelling

In September, the enemy continued to mercilessly shell the Donetsk region and attack it with drone, missile and air strikes. Despite all difficulties and constant danger, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 467 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 164,460 families. 

Restoring electricity in the Donetsk region is becoming increasingly difficult. Nevertheless, energy workers continue to work despite everything. In particular, specialists of the energy company have completely or partially energized 206 settlements and restored electricity to 19,000 homes in the frontline region last week alone. 

“We are doing everything possible to provide residents and critical infrastructure with electricity as much as possible in the conditions of constant and large-scale hostilities in the region. Since the beginning of this year alone, we have restored operation of 139 substations, transformer and distribution points and more than a thousand kilometers of power lines, damaged due to hostilities. Our specialists continue to work in the Donetsk region despite constant danger – since the beginning of the year, the crews came under fire during performance of restoration activities over 100 times, two of our colleagues were wounded,” – informed the energy company.  

Specialists of the energy company continue to repair grids and equipment and will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
