Last month, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators managed to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 1,061 settlements and restore power supply to more than 424,000 homes of Ukrainians*, de-energized due to the strikes in four regions and in the capital. Energy workers commence repairs of the grids as soon as possible once they obtain permission from the AFU and SES.

Last month, the enemy continued large-scale attacks on peaceful towns and villages. Despite constant security challenges, energy workers continued to work on grids and equipment repairs both in the frontline and in the more distant regions of the company’s presence. In particular, energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region managed to restore electricity to homes of 185,700 families of local residents in September. The region is constantly suffering from missile attacks and enemy shelling, especially its south, located close to the frontline.

During the first month of autumn, energy workers in the Donetsk region managed to restore electricity to 164,400 homes of local residents. The region remains an arena of the hardest battles. And though restoring power supply here becomes increasingly difficult and dangerous, energy workers continue to work once the situation and the military permit.

Likewise, specialists of the energy company restored power to 60,400 families in the Odesa region, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks.

During the same period of time, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators restored electricity to homes of 11,300 residents of the Kyiv region and 2,400 families of Kyiv residents, who were also de-energized due to the attacks.

“Energy workers continue to hold the energy front. We are doing everything possible to provide residents and critical infrastructure with electricity as much as possible in the conditions of regular attacks. Since the beginning of this year alone, we have restored operation of 202 substations, transformer and distribution points and more than 4,500 kilometers of power lines, damaged due to hostilities. Specialists of the DTEK Grids DSO are ready for the heating season and for the enemy insidiousness,”noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids

Company’s specialists continue to work together with AFU and SES in the regions of fiercest hostilities and restore operation of the grids immediately after obtaining permission from them.
