Over the weekend, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers restored electricity to homes of 82,000 families, de-energized due to bad weather

A thunder head with heavy rain and gale force wind that laid over the Kyiv region since the evening of June 1 and lasted throughout June 2 caused massive falling of trees and breakdowns of power lines. Over Saturday and Sunday, energy workers restored operation of nearly 100 lines.
Over the weekend, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers restored electricity to homes of 82,000 families, de-energized due to bad weather

As of 9 a.m., 14 lines and 276 transformer substations remain de-energized. The most affected by bad weather were Bucha, Fastiv, Obukhiv and Vyshhorod districts. 11,388 families remain without electricity.

The works are being complicated by waterlogging of the power line routes and trees that fell on the wires. This prevents quick access to the site of emergencies.

Our specialists continue to work 24/7 to promptly repair all de-energized lines and restore electricity to the customers’ homes.

Today, energy workers should complete works on the 10 kV lines and move to restorations on the 0.4 kV lines and individual requests.

The meteorologists forecast storm with wind and heavy rain today too, therefore energy workers continue to work in the high-alert mode and are ready to eliminate emergencies if they occur.

Let us also remind that as per the NPC Ukrenergo order, stabilization power shutdowns are applied in the Kyiv region throughout the day, June 3, in accordance with the schedules.

You can find out about causes of power outage and time required for its restoration via Viber and Telegram chatbots, and in the “No electricity” section on the company’s website.

Energy workers throughout the country are working 24/7 to restore electricity to the homes of Ukrainians.

Have faith in the energy workers!
