“For ensuring integrity of the energy system”: energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids received state awards
Energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids received awards from the President of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as honorary distinctions from the Ministry of Energy, Dnipropetrovsk RMA and local authorities for their work in extreme conditions and ensuring the integrity of the energy system during regular russian shelling:
- By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, a field crew electrician Vitalii Fisun, who works at the most difficult sections in the Nikopol district – in the area of constant shelling by enemy artillery and attacks of combat drones, received an order “For Courage”, ІІІ degree.
- 45 employees of DTEK Dnipro Grids received industrial awards from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
- Another 10 employees of the company received honorary distinctions from the Dnipropetrovsk RMA, Dnipro city council, the executive committee of the Kryvyi Rih city council, Nikopol and Marhanets municipal administrations.
Specialists of the company take active part in restoration of electricity after shelling, as well as prepare the energy system to going through the heating seasons in the conditions of war on a yearly basis.
“Our energy workers are working in extreme conditions to restore electricity to people even when it does not seem possible. They are the foundation for normal life and an example of invincibility. Every day, our specialists overcome huge challenges for the sake of country’s future, and we are truly proud of their courage and dedication,” – noted DTEK Dnipro Grids CEO Andrii Tereshchuk.
Let us remind that 329 DTEK energy workers were killed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. An employee of one of the DTEK Heat Power Plants Dmytro Petlenko was killed during the massive russian air attack on Ukraine on December 25.
