DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore power to more than 316,000 families in October

Despite intensification of hostilities in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to conduct a number of grids and equipment repairs and restore power to homes of residents of 546 settlements*, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring electricity to more than 316,000 families. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Overall, since February 24 last year, energy workers have restored electricity to a running total of 5.9 mln families.

In October, the situation in the Donetsk region remained difficult, hostilities were ongoing. Shelling, missile and air strikes damaged energy infrastructure of the region on a daily basis. Despite all difficulties, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 316,031 families in 546 settlements last month. 

In particular, last week alone, specialists of the energy company have restored electricity to 111,000 families in 189 settlements of the Donetsk region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult. According to the Donetsk RMA, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Avdiivka was hit by a massive artillery shelling in the morning. 

Due to constant shelling, specialists of the energy company do not always have access to work sites. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 616 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible. 

Over 60 crews of energy workers work on restorations in the Donetsk region on a daily basis.
