DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to almost 10,000 families over the course of the day

Despite constant shelling of the region, yesterday DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to access a number of grids damage and repair it, thus restoring electricity to residents of 13 settlements in the Donetsk region, affected by hostilities. Electricity has been restored to homes of almost 10,000 families. Energy workers commence repairs once it becomes possible in order to support residents of the region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On May 24, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to completely or partially restore power to 13 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 9,763 families in the frontline region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, where 28 clashes took place over the course of the day. Constant shelling of the region is ongoing. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 110 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
