DTEK energy workers restored electricity to 16 settlements of the Donetsk region over the course of two days

On May 19 and 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to restore power to 16 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to constant shelling of the region, thus restoring electricity to almost 9,800 households. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs of the grids once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 16 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 9,793 families. 

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Bakhmut and Marinka remain the epicenter of hostilities. 

Due to constant shelling and damage of grids and equipment, 119 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 452 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
