DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to almost 50,000 families in 64 settlements over the course of a week

Despite constant shelling in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to access a number of grids damage and repair it, thus restoring power to residents of 64 settlements. Electricity has been restored to homes of almost 50,000 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

From June 5 to 11, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore power to 64 settlements, thus restoring access to electricity for 49,782 families in the frontline Donetsk region. 

Including Sunday, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to 2,200 families in 2 settlements, affected by constant shelling of the region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, where heavy fighting is ongoing. Shelling, missile and air attacks continue. 

138 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
