DTEK Donetsk Grids restored power to almost 69,000 families over the course of a week

From April 15 to 21, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to residents of 72 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for almost 69,000 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply in the frontline region once it becomes possible. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company have restored power to a total of more than 7.4 mln families* in the Donetsk region.

Over the week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to residents of 72 settlements, thus restoring access to electricity for 68,961 families in the Donetsk region. 

Including the weekend when energy workers restored electricity to almost 16,000 families, whose homes were de-energized due to shelling. 

Donetsk region remains an arena of the most active hostilities. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, russian troops carry out up to 2,500 attacks on towns and villages of the war-torn region per day. 

Constant shelling continues to damage the energy infrastructure. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
