Electricity restored to 1,300 homes: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to repair the grids after shelling

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of grids damages and repair it, thus restoring power to homes of 1,300 families in the frontline Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore power supply of the region once it becomes possible and the military provide permission for work performance.

On August 8, despite shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore power to homes of 1,386 families, whose homes were de-energized due to constant hostilities in the region. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the region 14 times yesterday. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region is ongoing and continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 898 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
