Electricity restored to 5,700 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs of grids after shelling

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to completely or partially restore power to 26 settlements, affected by hostilities, thus restoring electricity to 5,700 families. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity in the frontline region in order to support residents of the Donetsk region in the difficult situation of constant hostilities.

On July 31, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers carried out repairs of a number of damages, caused by enemy shelling, thus restoring electricity to 26 settlements in the region. Power supply has been restored to homes of 5,780 families in the frontline region. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region is ongoing. Missile, drone and air strikes continue, too. According to the head of the region Vadym Filashkin, the enemy shelled settlements of the Donetsk region 20 times yesterday. 

Shelling continues to destroy grids and equipment. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 890 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. Nearly 70 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain permission for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
