Electricity restored to almost 11,000 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues restoration of the grids
Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore power to 11 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 10,888 families. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
Damage of grids and equipment by shelling is ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the Donetsk RMA, the region remains an arena of active hostilities that constantly affect local residents and infrastructure. In particular, Lyman community alone was shelled 26 times yesterday.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 113 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 588 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
