Electricity has been restored to almost 15,000 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs after shelling
On August 17, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 36 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring power to 14,909 families.
According to the head of the Donetsk region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Vuhledar alone was shelled 24 times yesterday.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 113 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 541 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
