Electricity restored to more than 5,000 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues repairs of the grids
On October 25, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 5 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to homes of 5,557 families in the frontline Donetsk region.
Active hostilities are ongoing in the Donetsk region. According to the Donetsk RMA, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Lyman community was shelled 18 times yesterday.
Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 116 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 610 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working daily on restorations in the region.
