Thermal power generation01 November 2024
From November 1 to December 1, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids conducts the “Free the grids from branches” autumn campaign in the Kyiv region. The campaign is aimed at preventing emergencies, caused by branches contacting with the wires or by trees falling on them during bad weather. The main objective is to ensure stable power supply for all residents of the region.
Free the grids from branches — win “Day-Night” meter from DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids

The campaign is available for participation to all residents of private houses*, who have trees growing near the power lines in their yards. Besides the fact that timely cut branches will help reduce the risk of emergencies and power outages, you also have a chance to win a comprehensive service of “Day-Night” meter installation.

How to participate in the drawing of “Day-Night” meter?

In order to join the draw, please follow these steps:

  • Share photo or video of the process of cutting trees near power lines on your Facebook page.
  • Write a few words about the importance of caring about the trees and avoiding contact of branches with the wires. Add hashtag (#FreeGridsFromBranches)
  • Tag DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids page (using @).

Everyone meeting these conditions will automatically join the draw*. The winners will be randomly selected on December 2 on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Facebook page. Three lucky winners will receiveDay-Nightmeter with a full package of installation services: dismantling of the old device, connection of the new one, its sealing and parametrization.

Attention to safety: cutting trees and safe distance

If tree branches are already touching the power lines, please submit a request to local authorities. Local authorities will inform the energy workers, who will arrange disconnection of the line for safe works performance. This will help avoid electrocution during cutting of trees!

Important: Cutting should be carried out, if:

  • tree branches are closer than 2 meters to the line;
  • branches hang over the wires;
  • the trees are in emergency condition and may fall and damage the grids in case of bad weather.

Let’s free the grids from branches together! Take care of your safety and safety of your neighbors. Join the autumn campaign of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids to protect the grids and get a chance to win the meter for your home!
