DTEK Dnipro Grids reminds simple rules of efficient use of electricity

Thermal power generation13 October 2022
After russia’s attacks on October 10, energy system of the country is in a difficult state – important infrastructure facilities have been destroyed, causing unbalancing of the system. Energy workers are working 24/7 and doing everything possible to ensure electricity supply to every resident of the region. Every Ukrainian can support them by using electricity reasonably and moderately. We remind simple rules of reasonable energy consumption.

The situation with power supply in the Dnipropetrovsk region and in Ukraine in general remains difficult. We ask residents to consume electricity reasonably and minimize load on the grids during peak hours in the morning and evening. This will help avoid emergencies and ensure normal operation of energy systems, while energy workers will be able to restore everything destroyed by the enemy as soon as possible:

  • Try to reduce usage of electrical appliances and consumption of electricity in your home during peak load hours: in the morning from7:00 to 11:00 and in the evening from 17:00 to 22:00. Switch on powerful appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, electric ovens, electric kettles, irons, electric heaters, etc.) for night hours;
  • Distribute the load. Switch on the most powerful appliances by turns. For example, if you are using a washing machine – do not switch on an electric kettle;
  • Give preference to energy saving and energy efficient devices with marking А, А+, А++ and А+++;

We thank everyone who has already limited his or her electricity consumption, especially during peak hours. It helps reduce the load significantly and allows energy system of the Dnipropetrovsk region to work stably and avoid power cutoffs.

If you have a power outage, please inform DTEK Dnipro Grids. We will do everything possible to promptly restore electricity to you.
