DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power to more than 50,000 families in the Donetsk region over the course of a week

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored electricity to 52 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 51,430 families.

Moreover, on December 19 energy workers managed to conduct repairs and restore power to almost 24,000 families in 15 settlements.

Heavy fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Massive artillery shelling, missile strikes and air assaults continue. The situation in the region remains difficult. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Bakhmut remains the hottest spot on the entire frontline.

97 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 300 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines, once it becomes possible.

Due to a difficult situation in the energy system, emergency power cutoffs continue to take place in the Donetsk region in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo order. This is a necessary step to stabilize the energy system and prevent new outages. The schedules of stabilization shutdowns are no longer valid. We also urge all customers to consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.
