DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 20,000 families in 3 districts of the Donetsk region

On September 1, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have restored power to residents of 40 settlements, thus restoring electricity to more than 20,000 families. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore electricity to residents of the region once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore power to 40 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 21,694 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Bakhmut districts.

For instance, yesterday energy workers, with the permission of the military, were able to access a number of grids and equipment, damaged by shelling, and restore electricity to 17,700 households in Bakhmut community. Additionally, specialists of the energy company managed to restore power to over 1,000 households in Kostiantynivka community, over 1,000 households in Sloviansk community and 1,100 households in Marinka community, where over 300 families have been waiting for electricity restoration for almost a month due to continuous fighting. Energy workers also worked in Avdiivka, Toretsk and Selydove communities.

Hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. 91 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for work performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Sloviansk. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
