On August 16, despite difficult situation in the region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to homes of almost 7,000 families in 12 settlements of the Donetsk region. Hostilities are underway, causing destruction of the grids. Our goal is to make every effort to provide electricity to residents of the Donetsk region and support them in this difficult situation.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored electricity to 12 settlements, thus restoring power to 6,725 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

For the second day in a row, energy workers manage to access and repair a number of grids in Bakhmut community, destroyed by shelling. Here, electricity was once again restored to homes of more than 2,000 families. Let us recall that yesterday specialists of the energy company also managed to restore power to more than 2,000 families of this community. Currently, it is one of the most difficult directions. It suffers from constant massive shelling. Another difficult direction is Sloviansk. Nevertheless, energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to more than 2,000 households in the Sloviansk community yesterday. Moreover, yesterday they have also performed repairs in Kramatorsk, Marinka and Toretsk communities.

Shelling does not stop and continues to destroy grids in the Donetsk region. 110 settlements of the region remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for work performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Sloviansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Toretsk. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 175 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
