DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids simplified the schedule of stabilization power cutoffs

Thermal power generation03 November 2022
DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids has improved schedules of stabilization power cutoffs for residents of the Kyiv region – we added search by settlement on the website for the convenience of customers. Let us remind that due to significant damage of the energy system, stabilization power cutoffs are underway in the region. NPC Ukrenergo has to apply them to avoid large-scale emergencies on the power equipment.

Schedules of stabilization power cutoffs in the Kyiv region comply with the following principles:

  • Posted schedules are schedules of possible power cutoffs that will allow prepare for a power outage if NPC Ukrenergo will need to balance the energy system;
  • Schedules mention only 3 possible time intervals when electricity may be cut off for each address. The company makes every effort to limit power cutoff for each address within 4 hours with possible error of 30 minutes, required for reconnection between the groups;
  • It does not mean that electricity will be definitely missing at a certain address during all time intervals, mentioned in the schedule. If energy system will operate correctly, then there will be no power cutoffs at all. If there will be a need to reduce the load on the energy system, then power cutoffs will take place during one or several time intervals. Power cutoff during all three time intervals, and especially during nighttime, may happen only in critical situations;
  • The schedules are based on the volumes of electricity consumption, needed for NPC Ukrenergo to balance the energy system. Power cutoffs of one group within the stabilization schedule are designed to reduce consumption of a certain capacity. In case of a command to reduce consumption for more than a certain capacity, the cutoff becomes an emergency one. In such event, schedule is no longer valid. The company notifies about application of emergency power cutoffs via website and social networks;
  • Schedules do not apply to the critical infrastructure facilities and buildings, connected to the same power lines, as these facilities. If you could not find your settlement in the schedule of power outages, please inform us via a feedback form in the “Shutdowns” section on the company’s website. We will check this information and add it to the schedule, if necessary;
  • If there is still no electricity 4 hours after the cutoff – there may have been an emergency. Unfortunately, its number grows due to application of stabilization power cutoffs. Please inform us about such events via DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Viber and Telegram chatbot and Facebook private messages. Our specialists will do everything possible to eliminate an emergency and restore electricity as soon as possible;

We ask customers to treat the need for stabilization power cutoffs with understanding. These cutoffs are needed to ensure operation of the energy system of Ukraine that suffered and keeps suffering from attacks never seen by any country in the world.

The up-to-date schedule is available on the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website. The user guide is located on the schedule itself.

We are grateful for your understanding and patience! We believe in Victory!
