DTEK explained why it is important to timely submit readings of electrical meters and how to do it conveniently

Timely submitted meters’ readings help DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids register actual volumes of electricity consumption, help suppliers issue correct bills and help customers pay for actually consumed kilowatts. The company provides remote services for convenient and fast submission of data. They do not require personal visit to the company’s offices and are available 24/7, which is especially important during wartime and considering risks of air strikes. The simplest of the available services is Viber and Telegram chatbot, which allows submitting readings and getting company’s services in few clicks.

DTEK explained why it is important to timely submit readings of electrical meters and how to do it conveniently

As of the end of April, 70% of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids customers failed to timely submit their electricity consumption readings. For comparison, in January, i.e. before the beginning of war this figure amounted to 44%.

We frequently remind customers to register meter’s readings on the last day of every month and to provide them to the Distribution System Operator over the course of three days. Thanks to the submitted information, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids registers volumes of the consumed electricity, while the supplier generates bills based on these volumes. If the customer failed to timely submit information, then he is billed based on the forecasted (average daily) rather than actual consumption volume,” – explained representative of the company.

Currently, several remote tools for submission of meter’s readings are available in the DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids 24/7. In particular, special form on the website, user account, telephone communications and “Merezhi online” mobile application (available in AppStore and Google Play Market) are actively used by the company’s customers.

Viber и Telegram chatbot is considered the most convenient one. Over 80% of customers are using it to submit readings of their own electricity consumption. In order to start using chatbot, you should:

  • enter “DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids” in the search bar of the Viber or Telegram messenger;
  • pass verification procedure (for unregistered customers);
  • select “submit meter’s readings” in the menu and follow menu prompts to submit information.

You can also use DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Viber and Telegram chatbot to send a message regarding power outage and order distribution services (replacement/adjustment of the meter, its sealing/ unsealing, informing about problems with the meter, etc.).

We are working 24/7 to ensure reliable power supply of houses and enterprises.
