DTEK brings back light: electricity has been restored to almost 50,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

Over the course of a week (November 7 through 13), DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 41,000 families, left without power due to shelling in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Despite shelling and difficult situation with hostilities, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators continue to restore grids upon permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required from normal life of the region’s residents.

Over the past week (November 7 through 13), specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to hostilities, for 41,000 families in 107 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Most of these settlements frequently suffer from russian shelling, so energy workers have to frequently restore electricity to them.

For instance, electricity has been restored to 39,000 families in the Donetsk region, where hostilities are consistently intense, and to 2,100 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

100 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists will definitely restore electricity to homes of all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Country’s energy infrastructure is now experiencing the most destruction in the history of independent Ukraine. In accordance with the order of NPC Ukrenergo, stabilization or emergency power cutoffs are being introduced in some regions of the country in order to stabilize the energy system and avoid large-scale emergencies.

They will last until state power company NPC Ukrenergo repairs all damaged components of the energy system. Information about shutdown and resumption of electricity supply is available on websites and social networks pages of DTEK Kyiv Grids, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, DTEK Dnipro Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids.
