DTEK restores electricity: in September power has been restored to more than 250,000 families that suffered from hostilities

Despite ongoing active hostilities, in September DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to restore electricity to 333 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to more than 250,000 families. Energy workers are doing everything possible to promptly restore electricity to homes of region’s residents once the military permit. Our goal is to support residents of the region in these difficult circumstances.

Despite constant threat of shelling, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore power to 333 settlements over the course of a month, thus restoring electricity to 252,051 families in the Donetsk region, who suffer from constant shelling.

For instance, last week specialists of the energy company managed to obtain a permit from the military and perform a number of repairs of equipment, damaged by shelling, thus restoring power to 76,900 families in 76 settlements of the Donetsk region.

Donetsk region remains an arena of active fighting. 86 settlements remain without electricity. It is currently impossible to perform restoration activities there. DTEK Donetsk Grids will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region immediately after obtaining a permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 221 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines, once it becomes possible.
