DTEK Dnipro Grids is doing everything possible to ensure reliable operation of the Dnipropetrovsk region’s energy system during the autumn-winter period. For this purpose, it has upgraded equipment of 130 power facilities of the region and 122 km of power lines, and eliminated 26,000 damages.

Field meeting of the regional defense council was held in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This meeting was attended by energy workers, gas workers, heads of cities and district administrations, Regional State Administration, police and State Emergency Service.

russian forces continue to carry out massive terrorist attacks on civil and energy infrastructure. Despite difficult situation and constant threat, DTEK Dnipro Grids employees continue to do everything possible to maintain reliable operation of the energy system and stable passing of the cold season.

“DTEK Group is a responsible business, partner of society and state. We have directed all financial and technical resources that the company owes to the stimulating RAB regulation to prepare for the autumn-winter period. By the beginning of the season, we have upgraded equipment of 130 power facilities and 122 km of power lines. Such measures reduce emergencies in the energy system and improve its reliability and sustainability,” – informed DTEK Dnipro Grids.

Energy workers have eliminated 26,000 defects as part of emergency response – damaged and broken wires, insulation and contact connections of the grids. They continue to carry out all these activities under wartime conditions, which significantly complicate repairs. Nevertheless, the company continues to improve reliability of grids and plans to eliminate about 5,000 more defects by the end of the year. In order to do that, it engages about 100 crews and an average of 250 pieces of machinery every day.

Besides, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists have cleared about 2,000 km of overhead lines from green spaces. It will reduce grids breakdowns, especially in the rural districts with private houses, where power outages occur most often during bad weather.

In addition, emergency and repair crews continue to promptly eliminate consequences of daily shelling.

“The enemy mercilessly attacks critical infrastructure. Energy workers are now working in a busy mode to ensure there is electricity in every home, – noted head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA Valentyn Reznichenko.Stabilization power cuts are being periodically introduced in the region to balance the system. We are grateful to the residents for understanding. As well as to the business people, who have reduced electricity consumption.”

As the cold weather approaches, residents and enterprises of the region are urged to consume electricity especially reasonably – switching energy-consuming devices in turn and minimizing electricity consumption from 07.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 22.00 in the evening. This is now the best support of energy workers, who are working 24/7 and are doing everything possible to ensure that everyone has electricity at home.
