Complication of weather conditions is expected in the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to the State Emergency Service, strong wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s and significant temperature drop down to -9 -15° are expected in Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region. Such temperature will stay for the coming days. DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews have been transferred to the enhanced (high alert) mode and are working 24/7 in order to timely eliminate emergencies. Energy workers are also asking to help the energy system and not to overload the grid during a sharp cooling.

Energy workers throughout the country together with rescue services continue to do everything possible in order to fix the consequences of missile strikes. Due to the damage of the energy system, stabilization power cutoffs continue to take place throughout the country, including Dnipropetrovsk region.

At the same time, sharp cooling may lead to an increase of power shortage, as customers may switch on heating appliances and powerful domestic appliances at the same time in order to maintain comfortable temperature in their homes. This will result in an increased load on the region’s grids that may cause power outages.

We ask all customers in the Dnipropetrovsk region to treat electricity consumption as responsibly as possible in order to help the energy system. When the electricity is restored after a shutdown electrical appliances are to be switched on in turn. This will help avoid emergencies due to the overload of the grids and maintain electricity in your and neighboring houses.

We understand that in the conditions of regular power outages, whenever the electricity is restored –people want to do everything as soon as possible. However, failure to follow the advices may lead to more frequent outages due to emergencies.

If electricity is absent during the hours that are highlighted white on the schedule – there may be an emergency. Please inform us about it via convenient remote services. The fastest way is to write us a private message in the DTEK Dnipro Grids Facebook. Another way is to file an application in the section “No electricity?” on the company’s website. You can also file an application via a contact center, though it may take more time due to a large number of calls.

As informed earlier, on December 21 DTEK Dnipro Grids has introduced updated schedules of stabilization shutdowns that take into account current difficult situation in the energy system.
