NPC Ukrenergo has introduced power cutoff for industrial enterprises in the Dnipropetrovsk region

Due to significant destructions of the energy infrastructure, state company NPC Ukrenergo has implemented schedules of power limitation for some industrial customers in the Dnipropetrovsk region. These power limitations will last from 7:00 to 22:00 on October 20 and 21. However, the company asks all customers to consume electricity reasonably. It will help avoid large-scale stabilization cutoffs.

Damage of energy infrastructure facilities generates shortage of electricity at certain times and in certain energy centers. That is why, in order to ensure normal balancing of the system and prevent large-scale emergencies, state power company NPC Ukrenergo has introduced a schedule of electricity limitation in the Dnipropetrovsk region for the next two days, October 20 and 21. Power limitation so far only applies to industrial enterprises. However, probability of applying stabilization cutoffs throughout the region remains high.

We ask business and residents of the region to listen to energy workers’ recommendations and orders, and to reduce usage of electricity in these difficult times for the energy system. Especially, during peak load hours – from 6 to 11 in the morning and from 17 to 23 in the evening. Please switch on powerful appliances (washing machines, dishwashers, electric ovens, electric kettles, irons, heaters) in the nighttime. Also, please distribute load and switch on the most powerful appliances in turn. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls, etc.,” – urged DTEK Dnipro Grids.

These simple steps will help reduce the need for power cutoffs or a number of disconnected houses. This is now the best support of energy workers, who are working 24/7 and are doing everything possible to ensure that everyone has electricity at home.

Take care of yourself and family! We believe in Victory!
