Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to 12,700 families, de-energized due to shelling and bad weather

On August 21 and 22, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore power to 10 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 2,700 families in the frontline region. Energy workers have also restored electricity to more than 10,000 families in 33 settlements, de-energized due to bad weather. Specialists of the energy company are doing everything possible to restore power supply in the Donetsk region once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 10 settlements, de-energized due to hostilities, thus restoring power to 2,786 families. 

According to the head of the Donetsk region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the region continues. In particular, Avdiivka alone suffered heavy artillery shelling twice yesterday. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 110 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Bad weather does not bypass Donetsk region as well: specialists of the energy company have also restored electricity to more than 10,000 homes in 33 settlements, de-energized due to thunderstorm and hurricane. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 546 days in a row and repair equipment and lines once it becomes possible. About 60 crews of the energy company are working on restorations in the region daily.
