DTEK Donetsk Grids performance in June: electricity restored to more than 700,000 families in the Donetsk region

Large-scale hostilities continued in the Donetsk region in June and were the main cause of lines and electrical equipment damage. Last month, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored power to 605 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to 765,633 families.

A large part of outages was associated with damage to lines and equipment of NPC Ukrenergo, caused by hostilities, thus leaving the north of the Donetsk region without electricity. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists together with NPC have restored electricity to more than 300,000 customers in the north of the region for the period of equipment repair.

For instance, last week electricity was restored to homes of 90,123 families in 97 settlements of the Donetsk region.

325 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers are waiting for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to commence repairs.

Fighting is underway in the Donetsk region, accompanied by massive shelling, missile strikes and air assaults. It causes more and more damage to the grids and shutdown of enterprises. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 130 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
