DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers’ performance in May: electricity for 300,000 families of the Kyiv region

In May, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 300,000 families, left without power due to emergencies on company’s electrical equipment. They have also completed all restoration activities on the DTEK’s grids and restored electricity to residents of the Kyiv region that suffered from hostilities.

Since the beginning of war, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids does not stop working in order to maintain stable operation of the grids and continues maintaining reliability and quality of power supply to residents and enterprises of the Kyiv region.

Energy workers had to eliminate both consequences of hostilities and consequences of bad weather and accidents on the grids. In May, company’s specialists eliminated 347 emergencies on the grids and restored electricity to 302,606 customers.

On May 18, DTEK energy workers have completed repair of company’s equipment and restored electricity to the residents of districts that suffered from occupation. Energy workers are now completing individual connection of customers, who return to their homes or who have repaired their internal networks.

During martial law, all DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids repair crews are transferred to the emergency response and restoration operating mode and are ready to promptly restore electricity during power outages. Employees also have specific guidelines related to working in emergencies and are provided with everything needed to restore operation of equipment in case of damage, caused by hostilities.

As informed earlier, on April 20 the company started to gradually resume operation of Customer Service Centers (CSC) in the Kyiv region. Since May 25, six more CSC resumed operation. Offices are currently open in 13 settlements – Kyiv, Boryspil, Vyshneve, Bila Tserkva, Brovary, Vasylkiv, Vyshhorod, Borodianka, Irpin, Ivankiv, Makariv, Obukhiv and Fastiv.
