Electricity restored to 11,000 households: DTEK continues to perform restoration activities in the Donetsk region

On June 16, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to repair a number of damaged lines and equipment, and completely or partially restore electricity to 15 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to homes of 11,038 families in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts.

The majority of repairs were carried out in Pokrovsk district, including the area of Marinka, where the situation is very difficult due to constant and massive shelling and where energy workers managed to restore electricity to more than 5,000 families that were left without electricity for over a week due to continuous hostilities.

Besides, specialists were able to repair equipment and once again restore electricity to another 3,500 households in the area of Toretsk and Avdiivka, where the enemy conducts massive shelling as well.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. Active hostilities are underway and we ask residents to treat possible power supply issues with understanding, as constant shelling causes more and more damage to both infrastructure of the grids and energy enterprises of the region.

317 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 114 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents.
