DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids energy workers continue to repair the grids, damaged due to bad weather in the region that is ongoing for 4 days now. Overall, power has been restored to 105,000 customers in more than 200 settlements. Additionally, the situation in the Ukrainian energy system remains extremely difficult due to russia’s attacks. Due to a 25% power shortage, NPC Ukrenergo continues to apply round-the-clock emergency shutdowns throughout the country, including the Kyiv region. As of the afternoon of October 26, 40% of consumers in the Kyiv region are temporarily without electricity in accordance with the energy system’s needs and due to consequences of bad weather.

Energy workers from throughout the country together with all rescue services continue to do everything possible to fix the consequences of russia’s missile attacks on November 23. The situation with electricity supply in the Kyiv region is also complicated by consequences of bad weather. Freezing rain and icing that occurred on November 23-24 have caused massive falling of trees and power lines breaks. The weather in the Kyiv region remains adverse.

Fastiv, Kyiv-Sviatoshyn and Vasylkiv energy centers have suffered most from bad weather. Here, about 80 settlements and 20,000 consumers are completely or partially without electricity. Energy workers are working for the fourth day in a row to restore power to these household customers, left without electricity due to bad weather. 91 crews of energy workers are working to eliminate emergencies. The work is to be completed by the end of today, providing that weather conditions do not worsen again.

At the same time, in accordance with the order of a system operator NPC Ukrenergo, round-the-clock emergency restrictions of electricity supply are currently taking place in the Kyiv region. Therefore, some consumers are temporarily without electricity in accordance with the energy system’s needs. Stabilization schedules are currently not valid. Overall, about 40% of residents of the Kyiv region are currently without electricity due to emergency shutdowns and bad weather.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids makes every effort to supply electricity alternately for 3-4 hours, where possible, providing there are no additional restrictions from NPC Ukrenergo.

Energy workers from throughout the country are working 24/7, doing everything possible to restore electricity to people as soon as possible. However, the situation in the energy system after another russia’s terrorist missile attack is extremely difficult. We ask all customers to treat electricity consumption as responsibly as possible in order to help the energy system.
