Over the course of a day, DTEK has restored electricity to almost 19,000 families in 10 settlements of the Donetsk region

On July 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews once again managed to repair a number of grids, damaged by shelling, and to restore electricity to residents of 10 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 18,942 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

The majority of restorations were in the difficult areas, where continuous shelling constantly damage the grids. In particular, electricity was restored to 6,700 families in Toretsk community, 5,400 families in Marinka community and 4,100 families in Kramatorsk community.

Active hostilities are underway in the region. Massive shelling cause more and more damage to grids and equipment, as well as shutdown of energy enterprises. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding.

320 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commence repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 132 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
