For the safety of residents of the Odessa region, DTEK reminds safety rules near power equipment

DTEK Odessa Grids reminds residents of the region about a need to follow safety rules when staying near power equipment. Simple rules will help avoid electric shock and save your health and life.

Transformer substations, distribution points and other facilities of the Distribution System Operator are always under high voltage. They are part of a critically important energy infrastructure of the region and are mostly located at the territory of settlements to provide electricity to the customers’ homes.

For the safety of residents of the entire region, DTEK Odessa Grids reminds simple safety rules near power equipment:

  • it is strictly forbidden to start a fire, burn deadwood, leave flammable materials near power lines and transformer substations, because it creates risk to health and safety of the person due to fire on the power equipment;
  • if you discovered a broken wire, please stay 8-12 meters away, due to an extremely high risk of electrical shock;
  • in case of blackouts, do not try to perform repair by yourself. If a blackout happened in an apartment or house – call an electrician, servicing your house. If there is a blackout at the entire street – contact the company;
  • do not approach switchboards, transformers and other power equipment, as they are constantly under high voltage and there is a high probability of an electric shock;
  • If you discovered open doors and hatches of the power installations – do not approach them, as intervention in the operation of electrical equipment can lead to tragic consequences;

To inform the company about the abovementioned cases, please, use company’s website, Viber and Telegram chatbots, send private messages at the official Facebook and Instagram pages, call contact center, for fast connection please press 1: (048) 705 90 9, (068) 750 90 90, (095) 750 90 90, (073) 750 90 90, a designated line for legal entities – (066) 750 90 90.

Please follow safety rules, take care of yourself and your loved ones. We are working 24/7 to ensure reliable power supply of houses and enterprises.
