From manual work to one button: almost 3.5 mln meter readings submitted in DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids chatbot

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids customers are already used to submitting meter readings remotely in a matter of seconds. This became possible thanks to automation and digitalization of our processes. We have come a long way from submitting readings to the call center operator over the phone to one button in the chatbot. Since the new service first appeared in 2021, residents of the Kyiv region have already submitted almost 3.5 mln readings to the company via chatbot.

Just 5 years ago, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists could receive your meter readings only via the call center or personally in the Customer Service Center, and then they had to manually enter received data into the database. The update of ІТ systems in 2021 provided an opportunity to create a readings submission service in the company’s chatbot. And now, the entire process takes less than a minute of your time.

Another advantage of the chatbot is that you see your latest meter readings and after submitting the new ones you receive a no error notification, and if there is one – recommendations on how to fix it.

One thing remains unchanged – it is important to submit readings during the last 2 days of the current month and before the 3rd day of the next one. This allows to avoid discrepancies between the estimated and the actually consumed volume of electricity and receive bills for really used electricity only.

In order to submit readings in DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids Viber or Telegram chatbot, please:

  • enter “DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids” in the messenger search bar;
  • pass verification procedure (for unauthorized customers);
  • select “Submit meter readings” in the menu and follow menu prompts to submit information;
