Electricity restored to more than 22,000 households: DTEK continues restoration in the Donetsk region

Active hostilities in the Donetsk region are underway. The situation remains extremely difficult due to constant enemy shelling. Nevertheless, on June 18 DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to restore power to residents of 27 settlements in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts, thus restoring electricity to 22,450 families.

For example, energy workers managed to repair equipment and restore electricity to homes of more than 18,000 residents in the area of Toretsk, which has been under constant shelling for several years.

The enemy is constantly shelling Donetsk region from almost all types of weapons. Especially difficult situation is now in the north of the region. Therefore, we ask residents to treat issues related to damage of lines and electrical equipment, with understanding, as they are being constantly damaged just like the energy enterprises.

313 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 116 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
