Despite active hostilities, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers managed to restore power to more than 270,000 families in August, thus restoring electricity to homes of residents of more than 400 settlements. Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion, specialists of the energy company have restored power to more than 2.7 mln households in the Donetsk region. Energy workers continue to work and put maximum efforts to provide electricity to residents of the Donetsk region.

Over the course of past month, active hostilities were underway in the region. Massive shelling, missile strikes and air assaults kept destroying electrical infrastructure of the region. Despite difficult situation, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to repair a number of damaged grids and completely or partially restore electricity to homes of residents of 413 settlements, thus restoring electricity to 271,906 families.

For instance, yesterday DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have restored power to homes of 8,300 families in Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Volnovakha districts, completely or partially restoring electricity to 14 settlements.

The situation remains extremely difficult in the region. 87 settlements remain without electricity, as energy workers do not have a permit for work performance from the military and are unable to work there. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Sloviansk. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 190 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines immediately, once it becomes possible.
