In November, the country’s energy system has once again suffered from russia’s terrorist attacks that caused serious damage and power outages throughout Ukraine. Over the course of November, DTEK energy workers have restored operation of grids, damaged by shelling, and restored electricity to more than 1 mln families in 1,104 settlements of Kyiv, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Due to frequent shelling, some of them required restoration of power on multiple occasions over the course of a month.

In November, rf’s terrorist attacks on the energy infrastructure have once again left hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians without electricity. DTEK energy workers together without other services keep doing everything possible to restore power supply as soon as possible.

Thus, in November, DTEK energy workers together with rescue services and NPC Ukrenergo managed to restore electricity to 395,000 families in Kyiv and 324,000 customers in the Kyiv region that were left without electricity due to targeted strikes on the critical infrastructure.

The enemy caused no less damage to the energy infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region. In November, DTEK has restored electricity to 110,000 families of the region. This work is ongoing every day.

The most intense shelling and hostilities take place in the Donetsk region, where grids are being damaged every day. Over the month, energy workers have restored power to 205,000 families.

“During the 9 months of war, DTEK energy workers have already restored electricity to 5.8 mln families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Despite regular shelling, our specialists continue to work and restore damaged grids immediately after obtaining a permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES. Moreover, our energy workers help restore electricity where it is most needed on the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region. 6 crews of DTEK energy workers are working on restoration of grids in the north and south of the region. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of the regions’ residents,” – notes DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

Due to significant damage of the energy system, NPC Ukrenergo has ordered to apply emergency power cutoffs in most regions of the country in order to avoid large-scale accidents. They will last until the energy system is stabilized.

Information about cutoffs and resumption of electricity supply will be available on websites and social networks pages of DTEK Kyiv Grids, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, DTEK Dnipro Grids, DTEK Donetsk Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids.
