DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore electricity to more than 19,000 families in 29 settlements over the course of a week

From November 14 to 20, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to access a number of sites of grids and equipment damage and repair them, thus restoring electricity to residents of 29 settlements in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to shelling. Power has been restored to more than 19,000 families. Specialists of the energy company are making every effort to restore electricity once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for works performance.

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored electricity to 29 settlements, affected by active hostilities, thus restoring power to 19,505 families.

Donetsk region remains an arena of active hostilities. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the hardest fights are now unfolding in the Donetsk region.

96 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 271 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines, once it becomes possible.

The situation in the energy system remains difficult. According to the NPC Ukrenergo order, stabilization power cutoffs are underway in the Donetsk region. A tentative schedule of shutdowns is available on our website. We also urge all customers to support energy workers in their fight on the energy front. To do that, please consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.
