DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power to more than 90,000 families over the course of a week

Despite shelling, last week DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore power to 83 settlements in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to more than 90,000 families. Energy workers continue to do everything possible to promptly restore power once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

On September 19 through 25, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to repair a number of grids damages and completely or partially restore electricity to residents of 83 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 90,465 families.

For instance, yesterday energy workers have repaired grids for residents of 11 settlements in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Volnovakha districts, thus restoring electricity to 4,800 households (over 2,000 in Kramatorsk community and over 900 each in Avdiivka and Marinka communities). Company’s specialists also managed to work in Velyka Novosilka, Toretsk and Kostiantynivka communities.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. The situation in the region remains extremely difficult. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk and Marinka.

87 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
