DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore power to more than 7,000 households over the course of a day

On October 6, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to perform a number of repairs and restore electricity to residents of 15 settlements affected by shelling, thus restoring electricity to more than 7,000 households. Energy workers continue to work and restore electricity to residents of the region, once it becomes possible and the military permit.

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids energy workers have completely or partially restored power to 15 settlements in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, Volnovakha and Pokrovsk districts of the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to homes of 7,516 families.

In particular, electricity has been restored to more than 3,000 families in Bakhmut community. Over 400 of them were left without electricity since mid-August and another 400 – since late September. Energy workers have not yet been able to get to the sites of damages and eliminate them due to shelling and lack of permission from the military. Other families had power restored to them in a day.

Electricity has also been restored to 1,500 families in Avdiivka community, more than 900 families in Marinka community, almost 900 families in Selydove community, over 400 families in Sloviansk community and over 400 families in Kostiantynivka community. Additionally, a number of works has been performed in Toretsk and Velyka Novosilka communities.

According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, communities in Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts came under fire again last night. 79 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk, Marinka and Lyman. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
