Despite active hostilities in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore power to 19 settlements in Bakhmut, Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk districts of the Donetsk region over the course of the day. The majority – in Bakhmut district. Despite the extremely difficult situation, energy workers managed to restore electricity to residents of 8 settlements near Avdiivka, Toretsk and Marinka in less than 24 hours.

Electricity was restored to 15,460 families in the Donetsk region.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains very difficult, especially in the north of the region. Active hostilities are underway, causing even larger damage to electrical equipment and lines, including the ones that have already been repaired. We ask residents to treat power supply issues, created by hostilities, with understanding. Unfortunately, shelling of territories continues, causing damage to the grids’ infrastructure and shutdown of energy enterprises.

317 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity due to constant shelling. The most difficult situation is near Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk, Bakhmut and Velyka Novosilka. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 108 days in a row and together with all other services are doing everything possible to provide electricity to the homes of the region’s residents.
