Electricity restored to almost 37,000 families: DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to repair grids in the Donetsk region

Thermal power generation04 November 2022
On November 3, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to repair grids and equipment for 77 settlements, affected by constant hostilities in the Donetsk region, thus restoring electricity to almost 37,000 families. Specialists of the energy company make every effort to promptly restore power supply once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to restore electricity to residents of 77 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 36,619 families in the Donetsk region.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. Constant shelling is underway. Attacks on the infrastructure facilities continue.

81 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 254 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.

The situation in the energy system also remains difficult. For instance, today NPC Ukrenergo had to introduce stabilization power cutoffs in the Donetsk region from 00:00 to 24:00. A tentative schedule of cutoffs is available on our website.

In order to reduce duration and number of cutoffs, please consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.

Information on how to properly turn on electrical appliances after power cutoff in order to prevent emergencies on the grids due to simultaneous high load in the grids is available here.

In case of a power outage outside the list of settlements for emergency power cutoffs, please inform DTEK Donetsk Grids. Our specialists will do everything possible to restore power supply.

To contact the company, please use official information channels only.
