DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to more than 73,000 families in 55 settlements over the course of a week

Despite constant shelling in the Donetsk region, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, were able to access a number of grids damage and repair it, thus restoring power to residents of 55 settlements. Electricity has been restored to homes of more than 73,000 families. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance. Since February 24, 2022, specialists of the energy company have restored power to more than 4.7 mln families* in the Donetsk region.

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore power to 55 settlements, thus restoring access to electricity for 73,336 families in the frontline Donetsk region. 

Including Sunday, when energy workers were able to repair a number of damages and restore electricity to more than 20,000 families in 10 settlements, affected by constant shelling of the region. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on the attempts to completely occupy Donetsk and Luhansk regions, where 27 attacks have been repelled over the course of the day. Shelling of the region is ongoing, missile and air attacks continue. 

120 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 461 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
